How To Say Yes To Love With Harriet McEntire-Lanka

There’s something you need to know about this conversation: it was recorded back in 2017..

🙈

This was the very first interview I did, so I’m cringing at myself for a variety of reasons AND posting it anyway, simply because, there’s too much wisdom in this conversation to NOT post it.

#progressoverperfection

Plus, I love this story.

Harriet built up Align Spa, a thriving day spa and wellness centre in Park City, Utah. She was exploring life and enjoying travelling.

At 35, she meets a terrific guy.

Handsome, with a good job. Her parents would have loved him and he checked ALL the boxes.

She described him as her 90% awesome guy and 90% is a great match, right?

Except for one ☝🏻 thing:

Something in her just didn’t feel lit up. It just didn’t feel right.

( Yep….been there! Bought the t-shirt 😉…)

Harriet’s journey to love is unique, whilst being an absolute testimonial to the power of love.

Love guided Harriet to make bold (scary) moves and that’s exactly what she did. In this conversation, she hilariously reveals what was going on for her behind each crossroad and choice point where both fear and love showed up.

SPOILER ALERT: Love won 🎉…

This is a beautiful story of how one woman followed her heart, her yes and opened to love.

Harriet drops pearls of wisdom in every sentence and in every corner of this conversation - I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

In this heart to heart, Harriet shares the journey of how she moved from:

☹️ Dating all of the wrong men

☹️ Disowning her power and placing it outside of herself.

☹️ Surface level, shallow, superficial dating and romance.

☹️ Looking for approval from men.

☹️ Looking for approval from society because in her words: ‘She didn’t feel that she had a strong root in herself.’  ( SNAP! This had me blowing around like a tumble weed for years.. )

To….

❤️ Getting super advice in her love life from Don Miguel Ruiz  ( the guy who wrote The 4 Agreements book … )

❤️ Getting out of her comfort zone and really getting in touch with herself.

❤️ Getting over her fear of being quiet and still.

❤️ Having a vision of her being pregnant barefoot on a beach within minutes of meeting her guy ( And the pic you see below IS Harriet years later with the same guy, on a beach, barefoot and pregnant 😲)

❤️ Getting out of her head and into her heart, by not letting her judgements and expectations hold her back from experiencing the love she desired.

❤️ Getting engaged within 3 weeks of meeting Adam and how she knew it was right.

❤️Moving to Costa Rica and opening a healing retreat centre and yoga studio in Potero.

❤️ Creating the kind of loving relationship with her husband that inspires so many people, with single people sharing: ‘Wow. You're showing me what love can be. You’re showing me how to raise my standards’, and already coupled up people share: ‘Wow. You're showing me how to have important conversations with my partner that are needed.’

Seriously. This is a must watch. I have so many takeaways already.

**WARNING: Two F-Bombs are dropped in this conversation - just letting you know in case little kiddos are in your vicinity.
