This all looks very interesting. My online concern is that it’s all done online? I thought it might be in person.
There's a few different reasons for this:
I started coaching in South Korea with an International accredited coaching school with a global reach, that was based in Melbourne Australia, so it's how I began my coaching journey. As a student coach, we coached online and globally. I had clients from all over the world, and as a coach now, I still do. I have had the pleasure of coaching clients from nearly every continent, except Antarctica.
I have moved around. This allows me to provide a consistent service from anywhere in the world.
Coaching online serves the clients I work with. The coaching we hold space for goes deep. With the sessions recorded, clients do go back and listen to the session. They share that it is very cathartic for them. ( I have been coached myself by other coaches and I also find it very useful!)
One of the tools used to support the client in getting the most out of the session is guided visualisation. We use this to tap into answers and solutions that are not always accessible to the rational mind that is in operation the majority of the time. Clients love listening back to their own answers. They receive more AHA's from listening back. Whilst in this deep level of relaxation, note taking is not possible as it interrupts the flow. Recording the session solves that.
Being at home allows clients to come off the call and be in their own space. Sessions can go deep so it works for the client to not have to rush out into the world immediately.
If you are camera shy, no worries. You can leave your camera off. One of the coaches I work with coaches with her camera off.
I have had a few clients who opted for no camera, one of them had previously attended an in-person workshop. She opted for no camera. This falls away as people get more comfortable with being seen.
This is your dance. It's about you doing what is comfortable for you.
